Hi, I’m Kelly. I’m an Australian who took a leap of faith and moved to Italy in 2020, arriving with a suitcase full of excitement, curiosity, and, if I’m being honest, a fair bit of uncertainty too.

Like many people who dream of starting a new chapter abroad, I imagined long lunches, beautiful landscapes, and a slower, richer way of life. And while all of that exists (and more), what I didn’t fully anticipate was just how complex the transition could be. Navigating paperwork, understanding the systems, learning the language, and adjusting to cultural nuances, especially when everything is unfamiliar.

Through it all, I gained a perspective you can’t get from the outside. I’ve experienced the frustrations, the small wins, and the moments when everything clicks. I know what it’s like to start from scratch and how rewarding it can be when you find your rhythm.
